12/06/2025

Milon School continues to champion safe and healthy food practices and promote healthy eating habits among the children who attend this school in Nagaland, India. This year, they celebrated World Food Safety Day under the theme “Science in Action”, reaffirming a school-wide commitment to sustainability, hygiene, and health.

A highlight of the event was the launch of the school’s stainless steel water bottle, in collaboration with Arie Renjanthung Patton and Act for India, as part of their ongoing mission to reduce plastic usage. Arie Renjanthung Patton also attended the occasion as the special guest, and issued a call to action for a cleaner, healthier planet.

Poster, slogan, and drawing competitions brought out the creative spirit of the students, while fun and interactive sessions on hand washing techniques reinforced the importance of personal hygiene.

Students of Grades 5 and 6 also gave thoughtful presentations on Waterborne and Airborne diseases, sharing valuable tips on prevention and safety.

As a UN Global School, Milon is committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to raising a generation of mindful, responsible global citizens.
